tour'06

Drama Box aims to do two community tours in 2006; in April and November. Each tour will see us going to different housing estates, and community places in Singapore where audiences can watch our performances free-of-charge.

In April, we will be exploring issues on Problem Gambling. We invite the public to join in the dialogue by going onstage to enact their suggestions/solutions to problems surfaced in the play.

a stranger at home

Adapted and directed by Young Artist Award recipient (2000) Kok Heng Leun, it is based on an original play by National Youth Award winner and academic Dr Quah Sy Ren. It is similarly inspired by Dr Quah's book with playwright and Teacher of the Year 2005 Ng How Wee.

A visceral look at the impact of the changing urban landscape on human emotions, needs, memories and existence. Combining theatre, music and film, this play directed by Kok Heng Leun questions the concept of nostalgia, home, memories, and identity. The film will be produced by acclaimed director Royston Tan.
