Launched in 2022, Art in the Commons: Dakota Cassia embarked on an exploration of community-building through the arts. Over the course of two years, the team designed initiatives that fostered social connections, mapped out the community’s needs and concerns, and introduced Boleh Bank, a creative initiative meant to strengthen mutual support among the residents.
Encouraged by the progress and positive impact made in the two years, Drama Box and Singapore Art Museum are excited to continue the journey with Art in the Commons: Cassia.
This next chapter will further expand the role of Boleh Bank in deepening community ties while also encouraging participation from more residents, ultimately inviting the residents to reimagine their relationships with their environment.
