Our youth training programme is recruiting! As members of ARTivate, you will be given opportunities and training platforms where you can develop skills in theatre-making and eventually create projects that engage and empower the community.
The programme will take place over 3 years, through regular, weekly sessions with industry practitioners. You will learn various aspects of theatre, such as actor’s training, devising and improvisation, playwriting and directing, Theatre of the Oppressed, verbatim and documentary theatre.
Who may sign up?
Applicants should be between the ages of 15 and 22, (born between 1996 and 2003), bilingual, and possess an interest in socially-engaged theatre and a desire to learn relevant theatre-making skills.
Application process
- Complete application form by 31 January 2018, 2359h.
- Group audition
Selected applicants are to perform a 3 – 5 minute monologue from a play (preferably in their mother tongue), followed by group work with up to 10 people. - Interview
Individual interviews will be scheduled separately after auditions.
Auditions and interviews will take place from December 2017 to February 2018.
