- shared our pedagogy with, and trained more than 300 Chinese Language teachers in the National Institute of Education (N.I.E)
Issues that NeNeMas has addressed through our workshops:
- Alcoholism
- Bullying in Schools
- Child Labor (India)
- Education and Dropouts
- Family Abuse and Issues
- Gangsterism in Schools
- Senior Citizens
- Unemployment
- Women in Crisis
"I've learnt new techniques for facilitating groups and for discussing about important issues, as well as some
interesting, yet simple, activities that carry a lot of meaning and provoke deeper thinking. The facilitator also
showed me how a good facilitator can be like. Forum Theatre allows us to facilitate the feelings of my youth-at-risk
and thus deepen my understanding of their emotion world."
- Ng Beng Wee
Centre Manager, Shan You Counseling Centre
Past Participant of NeNeMas' workshops
"This projection also made the participants more aware of their relationships and their perceptions of self and others.
Overall this experience is very beneficial. Through imaging, it makes us more aware of our personal values and beliefs
which is in itself very beneficial for our personal growth as a therapist or counselor."
- Jean Tan
Youth Worker, Marine Parade Family Service Centre
"These workshops share caregivers' common objective of helping clients and improving their well-being. Showing empathy and
seeing things from another person's perspective is possible and amazingly transparent! Issues and problems are dealt with
realistically and in concrete terms. Participants' behaviors and emotions are not 'performed' but displayed naturally.
Its only limitation - is when you attend with a closed mind."
- Danny Yeo ( 杨君伟 )
Radio Personality / Writer
Student of Masters in Counseling
Lecturer in Mass Communications
Past Participant of NeNeMas' workshops

WHY you must attend:
In theatre games, a social and economical environment can be created for clients to work in, helping individuals to
identify the external factors affecting their choices and decisions.
Using Group Work, participants experience the concept in using Games & Images to assist in opening up the clients' minds
and attitudes, stimulating their behavior and thoughts. Other participants in the workshops can then Project what they
perceive about these images, making each image multi-dimensional. Reflections within the group are necessary to develop
more personal experiences.
A short Forum Theatre piece will be created where Interventions are encouraged to help each participant see the many
possibilities of each action, thus Empowering the participants and making it a Personalized Experience.
