These workshops share caregivers’ common objective of helping clients and improving their well-being. Showing empathy and seeing things from another person’s perspective is possible and amazingly transparent! Issues and problems are dealt with realistically and in concrete terms. Participants’ behaviors and emotions are not ‘performed’ but displayed naturally. Its only limitation - is when you attend with a closed mind.

This projection also made the participants more aware of their relationships and their perceptions of self and others. Overall this experience is very beneficial. Through imaging, it makes us more aware of our personal values and beliefs which is in itself very beneficial for our personal growth as a therapist or counselor.

I’ve learnt new techniques for facilitating groups and for discussing about important issues, as well as some interesting, yet simple, activities that carry a lot of meaning and provoke deeper thinking. The facilitator also showed me how a good facilitator can be like. Forum Theatre allows us to facilitate the feelings of my youth-at-risk and thus deepen my understanding of their emotion world.
